Informal Chat with Roland Martin

Yesterday while at the Miami Dolphins game against the Houston Texans, I had the pleasure of running into and chatting with CNN analyst/ TV One host Roland Martin. After briefly introducing myself when he arrived, I tweeted the following:

@thefullginsburg: Just met @rolandsmartin, a classy guy. He’s at the Dolphins game sporting a Texans jersey. Guess the pinstripe suit isn’t sports attire.

To which he replied:
@TheFullGinsburg man, can’t wear the suit! I’m on vacation! Ain’t a tie in the suitcase! LOL great to meet ya. Thanks for hollerin! Game on!

  Later on in the 4th quarter, I met up with Roland on the sidelines and he said he was happy to have a few days off and enjoy the holidays. He had spent the Christmas holiday in Texas and said he and his lovely wife are in Miami through the New Year, in which he plans to take in a couple of Miami Heat games and some golf [Ed. Note, shortly after the Dolphins game, he was tweeting about being at the Heat game. This man loves his sports].

I shook his hand and told him it was nice to meet him. Seconds later, he excused himself as he saw Marc Anthony walking past his way. He stopped him and took a quick photo with him. And a few moments later, he introduced himself to Venus Williams. 

Overall, a pleasant encounter with a classy guy.
