Bristol Palin: TV star

February 24, 2010

You’d think with the ripped from the headlines nature of this guest appearance that Bristol Palin would be guest starring on Law & Order. But, it was reported yesterday that Bristol Palin, teenage mother posterchild and former First Daughter of Alaska will be guest starring on ABC Family’s Secret Life of the American Teenager. According to reports, she’ll be playing a fictional version of herself (reaaaally testing her acting abilities).

Not sure who thought this up and why Bristol would want to appear on the show (oh yeah, the paycheck), but I may have to tune into ABC Family for the first time (not counting watching The Sandlot over and over again). On a related note, Levi Johnston is still waiting to hear back on the audition tape Bristol sent in for VH1’s Tool Academy.

I Heart Wanda Sykes

I think if we allow our soldiers to be open, and serve in the military, it would clear up a lot of stuff. First of all the USO show would get much better…Plus, It’s not gonna make the military softer or anything. We’re soldiers. We’re talking– Yeah they’re gay, but you know, we’re not talking RuPaul or Elton John gay. We’re talking like, Brokeback Mountain gay!

-Wanda Sykes commenting on American’s embracing getting rid of “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell” but not gay marriage, on Real Time with Bill Maher.

Charlie Brooker shows the viewer the proper way to report a news story. If only Anderson Cooper would take a page from this book.*

*A. Coop, you know I’m joking. You can do no wrong.

The star of E!’s Keeping Up With Kardashians joined her new husband, Lamar Odom, and his Los Angeles Lakers teammates for a meet and greet with President Barack Obama in Washington on Monday. It has become a tradition for the champions of the NFL, NBA, MLB, NHL and several college sports to visit the White House following their win and the Lakers descended on DC to celebrate their 2009 NBA championship.
